SPREADING SEEDS, INC. RECEIVES WALMART COMMUNITY GRANT FOR $2,500 

Wilson, NC. (March 26, 2018)  – Spreading Seeds is pleased to announce it has received a $2,500 Community Grant from the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Ward Blvd in Wilson. These funds will support the Food Bank Program. 

Every day we receive calls for assistance with food, clothing, household items, and furniture from low-income families, Veterans and recovering addicts. The Walmart Community Grant has enabled us to achieve our goal of providing supplemental and emergency food assistance throughout the year.

Our mission at Spreading Seeds is to empower low-income individuals and families by providing food and community resources to improve their quality of life. Our vision is where people live with dignity, families are strengthened, and individual potential is realized.

 “As a Neighborhood Market our goal is to be a part of our community and help in every way we can from giving our customers great prices and quick checkout to Grants to help non-profit organizations in the community help those in need” says Store Manager Andrew Blodgett at the Walmart Neighborhood Market.

 “The Walmart Community Grant allows us to help families who are in a desperate situation when it comes to securing food for themselves and their children.”, says Spreading Seeds Director Tonia Miller. “Since receiving the grant we have not had to turn anyone away who needed food. It’s truly amazing how much of a positive impact this grant has afforded our community and the outreach growth of our organization.”

Spreading Seeds greatly appreciates Hope of Glory Ministries in Greenville, NC. Our appreciation stems from the generous donation given to us by Hope of Glory Ministries. It will allow us to help those going through hardships.

Spreading Seeds is a non-profit organization created to fill the gaps in care for our Veterans, single parent families, recovering addicts and, those facing a life hardship.

We provide food through cooperation with the NC Food Bank. In addition, we provide household items, small appliances, clothing, shoes, hygiene items, and furniture. Through our Community Connection, we provide guidance counseling, case management, fitness, nutrition, and resources. Our Empowerment Classes enables people to attain skills they need for everyday life.

With Hope of Glory Ministries’ abundant donation of clothing, shoes, and household goods we are able to provide hundreds with some of the necessities in life. We are always looking for donations to help those less fortunate.

Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. We can’t thank them enough! While being located in the Greenville community, they provided much-needed items to those who are experiencing hardships in the Wilson community.

Their store hours are Monday – Friday 9 am-5 pm, Saturday 10 am-4 pm.

This store gives another alternative to families to purchase their basic necessities sold at a low cost. The quality of the items they sell is well above your average thrift shop. All the money they raise goes towards their life-changing community programs.
